The clink of these coins hitting the table is so much nicer than the cardboard tokens we used before. Having 40 of the "1" coins means we finally stopped running out during long scenarios. My group's Scoundrel player is obsessed with them.
Lucy ★★★★★
The sheer amount of content in this box is ridiculous; we've played maybe fifteen scenarios and the map tiles still surprise me. Playing without a GM actually works, since the monster AI decks handle all the enemy turns and let everyone stay in character.
Adam ★★★★★
Seventeen playable characters is almost overwhelming at first, but my group has already sunk three weekends into just two of them. The branching scenarios actually made us argue over choices instead of just rolling dice, which is a first for us.
Richard ★★★★★
The art on this one is gorgeous—the crypt corridors and glowing scrolls really pop once the pieces come together. I did the border first and it took me way longer than expected, but in a good way. Already eyeing the other scenes in the series.
Elizabeth ★★★★★
Played through the first scenario with three friends and the tactical combat feels just as crunchy as the full-size version, minus the giant box. The stand-alone campaign means we didn't need any prior Gloomhaven experience, which made teaching everyone way easier. The included map book also cuts down setup time a ton.
